What I did

As a Product Designer, I restructured web and mobile design for 3+ internal fintech systems (risk, operations, and admin tools), improving task completion speed by ~20% and UI consistency through analytics-driven decisions, competitor benchmarking, and clarified domain logic; built and implemented a design system adopted by 3+ teams, reducing UI inconsistencies and handoff time.

How I did it, and what I used:

  • Mapped domain logic into the UI
Untangled customer–facility–debtor relationships that admins couldn't parse. Used Figma for UI design and prototyping, and Lucid/Miro for flow and system diagrams so risk, product, and engineering teams could agree on one shared model before build.

  • Analytics-driven decisions
Tracked how admins actually used the tools (Datadog) to find friction points, then validated fixes with A/B testing and data-informed design rather than guesswork.

  • Competitor benchmarking
Researched how other fintech/risk platforms handled similar high-stakes decision flows to inform hierarchy and guardrail patterns (confirmations, warnings on high-risk actions).

  • Design system build-out
Consolidated fragmented components and patterns into a single Figma library, documented in Confluence, so 3+ teams could pull consistent, pre-approved patterns instead of rebuilding from scratch, this is what cut handoff time.

  • Cross-team alignment
Used Jira/Confluence for tracking and specs, Slack/Teams for day-to-day alignment, and shared flow diagrams as the common language between product, risk, and engineering to reduce rework and design churn.
